Don’t worry — even if your insurance isn’t listed, there’s a good chance it’s still more affordable to come to The Smile Mission than to visit an in-network clinic.
Our prices are designed to be transparent and low, so many patients find that our out-of-network costs are similar to — or even less than — what they would pay elsewhere with insurance.
Most HMO plans work more like discount plans with a limited network of providers and set fees. Because our prices are already very low, many patients with HMO plans still choose The Smile Mission and find that their overall cost is similar or lower than at an HMO clinic.
In some offices, HMO plans can come with extra fees and add-ons that aren’t always clear upfront. Our goal is to keep things simple, honest and transparent, so you always know what you’re paying for before treatment.
Medicare and Medicaid typically only cover very basic dental services, such as extractions and standard cleanings. Most other treatments — including crowns, root canals, implants, and cosmetic work — are not covered once you are 21 or older.
On top of that, certain procedures (like advanced cleanings and extractions) often require pre-approval, which can delay treatment by a couple of weeks.
If you need any dental work beyond a basic cleaning or extraction, our clinic is often a more affordable and faster option, even without using Medicaid/Medicare. We can also provide same-day cleanings or extractions in many cases, so you don’t have to wait.
