Post-Operative Instructions: Clear Aligners

You must wear the aligners 24/7.

You ONLY remove the aligners when you eat or drink something hot. All the rest of the time, you MUST wear your aligners.

Wear each set of aligners for two weeks.

You must make sure when wearing aligners that they fit in properly. If the aligner doesn’t seat all the way – you need to call and make an appointment. If you wear aligners when they don’t seat properly they could cause your teeth to move incorrectly.

Be careful when eating and taking out aligners. You don’t want to put them in a napkin that then someone else throws into the garbage.

Be careful removing them. All sides equally. It’s like tying your shoelace for the first time -> after a few times it will become 2nd nature.

We provide ultrasonic cleaner and tablets to clean your aligners. You can also clean the aligners using a tooth brush and water.

You should feel soreness. That means your teeth are moving. Do NOT take out when sore. You need to keep your aligners in so your teeth can move properly.
