Whitening Post-Op Instructions

Please follow the instructions below to ensure the best results.

Sensitivity:

Depending on your teeth and length and quantity of whitening. Sensitivity is very common and should go away in one or two days. You can take ibuprofen or Tylenol to help.

Results:

Can vary from patient to patient. We recommend coming back for another whitening touchup every 3-4 months for best results

Limitations:

Deep stains can be difficult to remove with just whitening. Whitening doesn’t work on fillings, crowns or bonding.

Burning of gums/cheek:

The whitening chemicals are very strong. If they get on your gums/cheeks during the process they can chemically burn you. Don’t worry – it will heal in 2-3 days but it can sting for a little while until that happens.

Home Maintenance:

Make sure to brush and floss 2-3 times a day at home to keep your teeth as white as possible. Brush softly for a good 3 minutes. We also sell take home whitening kids that you can use to help keep your teeth as white as possible.

Proper Care of Teeth:

Make sure to get proper cleanings and do proper brushing and flossing.

Do NOT Drink/Eat for 2 days:

Coffee, tea, mustard, ketchup, red wine, dark colored soft drinks, red sauces, soy sauces, tobacco products, or berries. These can stain your teeth
